A typical workday varies depending on your role. Here’s a brief overview of what to expect for each position:
Baker: Responsible for baking cakes to brand standards, managing inventory, and assisting with dishwashing and maintaining a clean kitchen area.
Froster: Focuses on consistently frosting cakes, preparing batches of frosting, meeting daily production needs, and fulfilling customer orders.
Guest Service Representative (GSR): Greets guests in person and over the phone, assists with placing and fulfilling orders, prepares and packages cakes, and ensures every guest interaction is warm and welcoming.
Utility: Handles the washing and sanitizing of all cake pans, tools, and equipment. Also responsible for cleaning workspaces, restocking supplies, taking out trash, and cleaning floor drains—helping to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment for the team and guests.
Lead Supervisor: Oversees daily bakery operations and supports the team to ensure everything runs smoothly. Duties include opening and closing the bakery, mentoring team members, handling guest concerns, and assisting with training, inventory, and order accuracy.
Assistant Lead Supervisor: Supports the management team in daily operations. Helps guide team members, ensures guests have a great experience, and maintains bakery standards. Responsibilities include shift leadership, training new employees, and stepping in wherever needed to keep the bakery running efficiently.
Bakery hours may vary by location, so we recommend checking directly with your local bakery for the most accurate information.
Generally:
Bakers can expect to start as early as 6:00 AM.
Most other positions typically begin around 8:30 AM, although shift times may vary based on bakery needs.
The latest shift usually ends around 7:30–8:00 PM.
Pay varies depending on the position and your previous experience. Pay range is stated in each job post, and exact compensation details will be further discussed during the interview process.
We’re happy to accommodate time-off requests! We simply ask that all requests be submitted at least 2–3 weeks in advance, before the schedule is finalized.
Our interview process typically includes the following steps:
Video Interview: Submit a short video answering a few questions so we can get to know you.
Review Period: We’ll review your submission within a few days and reach out if you’re selected to move forward.
Phone Interview: If chosen, we’ll schedule a phone interview to learn more about your experience and interest in the role.
In-Person Working Interview: Selected candidates will be invited to the bakery for a working interview (approximately one hour).
Final Decision: We’ll follow up within 3–5 business days after your working interview to let you know if you’ve been selected for the position.
